If I wanted a MySpace, I would have gotten one.

I've been trying to update again for a while, but every time it seems I get an opportunity, something happens and I end up getting sidetracked, distracted, or I'm just plain too busy to sit down and type out an update. It's frustrating, because every time I try to think of and remember what exactly has been going on these past few weeks, all I can seem to recall is a blur of events and situations.

I've been hanging out with Beau and Arleen a lot here lately, and now that Ivy's moved back to Florida and Bossy and Dewey have parted ways, the number of people I spend my excess free time with has dwindled somewhat. I suppose it's just as well, since it allows me to focus more on studying and flying, but every now and then it's nice to just take a break and do something unrelated to "work." Since I finally broke down and started taking the bus everywhere I needed to go in Albuquerque, I've managed to see my share of weird and odd things, either while on the bus or while waiting for it to arrive. Things like old Asian men riding up with boom boxes strapped to the backs of their bicycles and dancing, or bums falling down in the middle of the intersection, crawling across to the corner, and refusing to get back up, and guys getting arrested for trying to break into vehicles.

What an interestingly mundane life I lead sometimes...

This upcoming week promises to be excruciatingly busy, with warnings of Saturday flights, among other things. At some point, I still need to find the time to ask for permission to take leave in order to see Kenny's wedding and hopefully I won't take too much flak for it. Having "student flight" on your patch tends to make you a target and asking for things like leave can be that much more difficult.

All that to say that this weekend wasn't nearly long enough. In other news, I've added some songs to the playlist, thrown a few pictures into my album of me hanging out with people, and I've thrown up a couple of videos, one of which was a pretty interesting demonstration put on by the 512th.

Hopefully I'll find the time to actually update again before the end of the month.
