Apparently, since Kirtland was the site of most of the filming for the movie, they decided to give an early pre-screening of the film for us here on base. There's a pretty good chance that I've actually flown on one of the HH-60's they used in the movie. I managed to score a ticket to the screening, and after the movie the director (McG) and Christian Bale showed up to do some Q&A. I also scored a free t-shirt and a poster out of the deal. Not bad, all things considered.

The movie itself was a lot of fun, and I'll probably end up seeing it again when it's released in theaters.
